We are currently seeking a Waste Supervisor to join our team at Canberra Hospital on a Permanent Full-Time basis, working Monday to Friday.
As a Waste Supervisor you will provide and monitor waste management services across all departments, wards, and public areas of the hospital and other satellite health sites.
Your role will be crucial in maintaining a healthy and safe environment, minimizing infection risks for the community we serve.
A Snapshot of your day:
Daily visual inspection of the site ensuring waste removal standards are achieved.
Conduct routine work in a safe and responsible manner that does not disrupt the client, fellow workers or members of the public.
Report any risk identified (e.g.
: OHS, Clinical, Financial, Technology, Public Image) to the Key Account Manager and request a risk assessment.
Participate in risk management activities.
Conduct internal waste audits, follow up with rectifications and advise staff of audit processes and outcomes.
Manage and ensure rosters are current, ensure roster absenteeism is managed efficiently each day providing staff to all areas in accordance with sites labour budgets.
Ensure all Waste schedules are completed and signed off in a timely manner.
Conduct tool box talks and other training/coaching needs as required.
What you must possess:
Experience in waste supervisor services in a clinical environment is desirable.
Current Police Clearance within 3 months date of issue is essential
Current ACT Working With Vulnerable People Card
Willingness to own and maintain a smart phone
3 doses of COVID vaccination and complete Immunisation history
