Our essential Waste & Recycling Branch has immediate openings for Landfill Assistants, Plant Operators, and Collections Plant Operators.
We're dedicated to providing vital services to our community while driving sustainability through responsible waste management.About YouAll positions require:General Construction Induction (White) Card.Minimum 'C' class open drivers license.Experience in the operation of waste management facilities or similar environment.Demonstrated sound level written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.Demonstrated organisational skills and ability to work under minimal supervision and with a team focus.Working knowledge of different waste and recycling streams, including various categories of valuable scrap materials would be advantageous.Demonstrated sound level use of computer related software including MS Office, Internet, email and Council corporate software and gate/weighbridge software or similar.Possession of Forklift Operators ticket and an HC (Heavy Combination) license is desirable, not essential.As a Plant Operator – Landfill, you will also require:Possession of a "HC Articulated" (semi-trailer) drivers licence.Possession of a "LL" front end loader ticket.Possession of a "LZ" Bulldozer Ticket.As a Collections Plant Operator, you will also require:Minimum 'HR' class open drivers license.The Selection ProcessWe encourage candidates to advise us of any accommodations they may need to ensure a smooth and inclusive experience throughout our recruitment process and work environment.
