About The RoleBathurst Regional Council is currently seeking a Waste Collection Officer to join the Waste Management Centre Team.The Waste Collection Officer's main purpose is to drive and operate a waste collection vehicle, collecting waste from households in Bathurst, consistent with applicable statutes, regulations and council policies. The position will also be required to undertake duties relevant to the role within the Waste Management Centre as directed.This position will report directly to the Waste Collection Team Leader.Key RequirementsHR drivers licenceDemonstrated basic mechanical and maintenance knowledgeProven experience in operating tipping trucksProven experience in the operation of lifting equipmentCompetent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Word and OutlookA strong commitment to quality customer service with a culture of continuous improvement
