As a result, we are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our expanding commercial team.
Based in our West Perth office and offered on a full time basis, you'll work closely with our operational project delivery teams to manage business and project cost activities including reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
Critical to the success of this role is the ability to understand our data and having the confidence to question and interrogate the information your provided to ensure the ongoing robustness of our cost information.
OUR ROLE
Reporting to our Head of Commercial, in this role you will:
Oversee and support overall project cost activities including budgeting and forecasting Analysis of progress and schedule against cost Variance analysis of estimated and budgeted versus actual Earned value analysis, cost reporting and cost performance evaluation Assist with and support end of month project reporting Support project accounting activities and monthly progress claims Risk analysis and communication of opportunities Chance to bring your experiences and build cost control measures across the business Be part of dynamic environment and be part of the change/growth story ABOUT YOU
Great people skills and the ability to build trust is a must, backed by strong communications skills.
You will also ideally have:
A tertiary qualification in accounting, engineering or equivalent with previous experience ideally from within the construction and/or resources sector Previous experience in a similar role Strong attention to detail with the ability to problem solve; Proven communicator who can lead and influence.
