Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will share your time between the HSE and Warehousing functions.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to improving Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) performance in your assigned area of responsibility to cultivate a high-performance culture with a strong focus on HSE.
Each day, you will support the business by applying in-depth HSE knowledge and offering solutions and advice.
You will showcase your expertise by ensuring effective risk management through HSE excellence along the ABB value chain.
You will also have the opportunity to conduct all activities related to the handling of parts and semi-finished or final products in the warehouse or to/from the production line.
The work model for the role is Onsite.
This role is contributing to the Traction Division in Maryborough.
Main stakeholders are the ESS, Converters and Motors teams in ABB Australia.
In the HSE area you will be mainly accountable for: • Managing routine HSE activities (eg contractor management), and reporting incidents to the management and relevant stakeholders and taking appropriate actions.
• Facilitating, assisting, and providing guidance on incident investigations to learn better ways for mitigating risks.
In the Warehousing area you will be mainly accountable for: • Picking, sorting, and arranging material for storage as per guidelines.
• Executing routine activities according to established procedures.
You will join a growing team in the exciting stages of setting up a new production line.
Qualifications for the role Demonstrated ability to develop, implement and adhere to safety policies, procedures and programs.
Cert IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety highly regarded.
5+ years experience working the rail industry Manual dexterity and ability to follow warehousing procedures.
High Risk Forklift License required.
