As they continue to experience growth in their operations, they are now looking to expand their team based at the Pemulwuy Warehouse.
The Warehouse Team Leader at the National Distribution Center support the Warehouse Supervisor to ensure the smooth flow and accuracy of operations in receiving, put away, stock orders, dispatch, and adherence with warehouse procedures and safe work practices.
Position brief details below: Shifts on offer are Monday - Friday with overtime where required.
Shift time will be 5am start ASAP start for successful applicant Pay rate will be $38 per hour + Overtime rates Temp with View for Permanency Within this hands on role You will be required, but no limited to the following duties: Support managers in daily operations, focusing on safety and quality.
Coordinate with managers to prioritize tasks for the team.
Ensure timely completion of daily tasks and deadlines.
Set up work areas with necessary resources and components.
Handle paperwork and documentation accurately.
Maintain inventory accuracy through effective housekeeping.
Ensure clean and orderly work areas consistently Conduct end-of-shift checks to ensure completion of tasks.
Provide on-the-job training for team members.
Prepare and distribute warehouse reports.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
Provide additional team support on the floor Ensure operational efficiency in receiving, putaway stock orders, dispatch Assist with an effective and professional approach to problem solving.
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety policies and legislation.
Perform any other required duties such as Operating high reach forklift , putaways, loading and unloading trucks.
To be considered for this role you will need to have the following: Current Forklift License (a MUST) Experience operating Counterbalance and High Reach forklifts Previous experience in a similar role is highly desirable Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong attention to detail and good communication skills Solid understanding of Chain of Responsibility (COR) Experience in a fast-paced environment Ability to commit to Monday-Friday morning shifts Flexibility to work weekend shifts when required Able to start ASAP Physically fit and capable of lifting up to 25kgs when needed Reliable transportation to and from work You will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical along with a Drug and Alcohol test.
