The Opportunity We are seeking a Warehouse Team Lead (Despatch) for our Warehouse based in our head office in Melbourne. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for supporting and overseeing your assigned area to ensure timely and accurate processing along with high customer service outcomes. You'll also work closely with your specific team to guide and support high efficiency, accuracy and positive team results.
Responsibilities: Provide support to the Warehouse Manager by communicating regularly to ensure a productive and positive team culture.Assist management in monitoring and maintaining workflow for the team to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.Lead and develop the designated team on a day-to-day basis and assist in performance management, discipline, and training in line with Company Policies and Procedures to ensure an effective and high-performing team.Assist the team when required using material handling equipment including forklift.Participate in continuous improvement projects.Support management in the execution and training of health and safety initiatives.About You: You should have at least 5 years' experience in Warehouse operations and at least 2 years in a lead or supervisor role. You will be able to demonstrate professional communication skills along with strong application and systems knowledge including the relevant ERP. You should also be able to show your strength in organizing and prioritizing workload for the assigned team in a fast-paced distribution operation. Experience in Health & Safety, knowledge of SAP and WMS equipment such as RF scanners is a plus. Strong material handling experience and a forklift license is also required.
