We are seeking candidates for the position of a Warehouse Supervisor with previous work experience in warehouse for our client. You will manage a warehouse team and the onsite operation.
Role Overview: The position involves leading the warehouse and logistics team, managing operations such as delivery routes, fleet maintenance, and compliance with load restraint guidelines. The ideal candidate will have supervisory experience in warehouse or transport logistics, preferably in a Food Wholesale setting, with a history of successfully managing mid-sized facilities. The goal is to achieve operational excellence and foster a productive team environment using advanced leadership principles.
Key Responsibilities: Safety and Compliance: Adhere to WHS regulations and ensure a safe work environment.Oversee safety protocols for machinery operations (e.g., forklifts).Attend inspections and maintain security during opening and closing.Operations Management: Perform quarterly inventory counts.Manage receiving and dispatch of goods.Monitor stock accuracy and cleanliness of storage areas.Team Leadership: Assign daily tasks and workloads to staff.Train, supervise, and interview employees.Customer and Stakeholder Relations: Address customer inquiries and shipping/receiving issues.Maintain communication with the branch manager and other stakeholders.This role requires strong operational knowledge in logistics, sales, industrial relations, and leadership, with a focus on maintaining high safety standards and efficient operations.
