Warehouse Supervisor

Fantastic opportunity to work with a large and successful global manufacturer! This well-established, globally recognised business holds a strong position in the Australian market, with extensive sales nationwide. Operating a large-scale National Distribution Centre in Melbourne's northern suburbs, they are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to join their team.
In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing a section of warehouse operations, ensuring team safety, maintaining productivity, and driving performance through effective leadership, coaching, and work allocation.
Key responsibilities include: Leading and reporting on safety initiatives.Supervising and deploying team members.Managing staff performance and development plans.Supporting distribution centre planning and resource management.Contributing to continuous improvement (CI) projects.Mentoring, coaching, and training staff.This fast-paced distribution centre environment requires quick thinking and adaptability.
To succeed in this role, you should have: Strong experience in operational management, ideally in warehousing, though manufacturing or transport backgrounds will also be considered.Flexibility to work on a rotating roster, including PM shifts.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to address large groups effectively.A mature approach to coaching and guiding team members through challenges.Extensive knowledge of workplace safety.Experience working with unions and enterprise agreements.A background in Retail, FMCG, or 3PL is highly desirable.This role offers the opportunity to work with a leading global brand, a supportive work culture, and an attractive salary package.
