We're looking for a motivated Warehouse Supervisor to join our team and contribute to the smooth running of our large-scale 20,000+ pallet capacity storage facility.The Role: We're seeking an experienced and organised Warehouse Supervisor to lead a team of warehouse operatives.
You'll be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and efficient handling of goods while maintaining accuracy and upholding our high standards of service.
This is a hands-on role.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and guide a team of warehouse operatives to meet operational targets.
Foster a positive work environment, offering training and performance feedback.Forklift Operations: Supervise and ensure the safe use of PPT, Counter Balance and Man-up forklifts for storing and retrieving goods.Inventory Management: Maintain accurate stock levels through regular cycle counts and audits.
Implement best practices to prevent discrepancies.Operational Efficiency: Continuously improve processes to maximize productivity, space, and uphold quality control.
Ensuring accurate and timely loading and unloading.Health & Safety: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including forklift operation and equipment use.
Regularly conduct safety checks and provide ongoing training.Warehouse Maintenance: Oversee warehouse cleanliness and organisation, ensuring a safe & productive environment.Communication & Reporting: Work closely with Finance, Purchasing, and Sales to coordinate stock movements.
Report regularly to the Director on operations and any arising issues.Problem Solving: Address operational or personnel challenges with quick, effective solutions.Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities for operational improvements and cost efficiency.Key Requirements:Minimum of 3-5 years in a supervisory warehouse role.Proven leadership skills, with a track record of team management and problem-solving.Valid forklift certification with experience operating "man-up" / very-narrow-aisle (VNA) forklifts an advantage.Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.Solid understanding of health and safety regulations.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Ability to work in a fast paced, pressurised environment with deadlines each day.What We Offer:Competitive salaryProfessional growth opportunitiesContinuous training and developmentIf you're a driven leader with a passion for a warehouse supervisor role, we'd love to hear from you!Contact: Job Type: Full-timeSchedule:Monday to FridayWork Location: In person#J-18808-Ljbffr
