Title: Warehouse Supervisor
Job Purpose: The role of the Warehouse Supervisor is to direct receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of clinical related products and temperature controlled shipments.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage warehouse in compliance with company's policies, vision, GDP and safety requirements. Oversee receiving, warehousing, packing and maintenance operations. Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures. Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements. Maintain standards of health, safety, hygiene and security in accordance to company policy. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies as necessary. Work collaboratively within our Marken branch network nationally and internationally to continually provide quality service to our clients. Ensure that systems are used as defined and updated with accurate, complete and timely information. Ensure that communication within the team and with the branch and network is done in a proper and timely manner to enable other job functions to perform. Lead, orient, coach and motivate employees. Produce necessary reports as required. Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided. Requirements:
Proven work experience leading a Warehouse/Distribution operation. Experience with airfreight operations, import/export operations and related regulatory requirements. Knowledge of IATA regulations, including Transportation of Dangerous Goods (if applicable). The ideal candidate has experience working in a GDP environment. Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices. Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives. Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases. Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to effectively manage staff. Strong decision making and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Experience with temperature controlled shipments. Marken is a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS and is a critical part of UPS Healthcare.
