We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring that activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in line with customer, company, and legislative requirements.
About the Role
As a Warehouse Supervisor you will be responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities, managing freight operations, and ensuring the smooth flow of operations across multiple locations, including NSW Metro and Regional areas.
This role requires a proactive leader with a focus on safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations: Supervise the daily activities in the warehouse, ensuring work is performed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.Safety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all employees and visitors follow safe working practices and legislative requirements.Freight Management: Oversee freight operations, including coordinating deliveries, damage and exception reporting, and managing 3rd party carriers and internal fleet stakeholders.Container & Trailer Unpacking: Coordinate and schedule container and trailer unpacking, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring timely delivery.Forklift & Equipment Management: Supervise the use of forklifts and other equipment, ensuring operators are licensed and trained, and equipment records are maintained.Team Leadership: Lead a motivated and professional team, conducting regular communication and team-building activities to maintain high performance.Customer Service Support: Act as the first point of contact for freight inquiries and depot searches for the Villawood branch.
Ensure timely and effective customer service resolutions.Reporting & KPIs: Produce relevant reports, including connote reports, container reports, and other operational data, ensuring accurate tracking of goods received and dispatched.Key Qualifications & Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision or a similar role within logistics or freight operations.Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems.Experience managing a team and ensuring high standards of safety and performance.Ability to manage and coordinate freight operations, including dangerous goods handling and scheduling.Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage disruptions and implement contingency plans.Forklift license and experience with safe forklift operation.About Team Global Express Team Global Express (TGE) is an Australian-owned transport and logistics business delivering to Australia and New Zealand.
