The Supervisor is responsible for supporting the warehouse operations by performing a variety of manual tasks. These tasks include loading and unloading goods, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the warehouse is clean and organized. The role requires physical strength, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: Loading and Unloading: Manually load and unload trucks, containers, and other vehicles with goods and materials. Move goods to and from storage areas, production lines, or loading docks. Inventory Management: Assist in receiving, storing, and distributing inventory within the warehouse. Label and organize inventory for easy access and accurate record-keeping. Perform regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are accurate. Pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
Ensure that orders are accurate and free from damage before shipping.
Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks (if certified). Report any malfunctions or safety issues with equipment to the supervisor. Warehouse Maintenance: Keep the warehouse clean and organized. Dispose of waste materials properly. Assist with general maintenance tasks as required. Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment (preferred). Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labour for extended periods. Basic understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management. Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery (certification may be required). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions. What's in it for you?
