We are currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor at our Coppabella/Moorvale mines.Our Coppabella Moorvale mine complex consists of three (3) open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometers southwest of Mackay thatproduce premium low-volatile pulverised coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.
Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, the scope of your role is to coordinateall warehousing functions for the company and site; in a timely and effective manner ensuring all such activities are carried out in accordance with company and site policies and procedures.
Duties will include: Cultivate and maintain strong working relationships, both internally and externally, through positive and effective communication Manage, influence, and empower the Warehouse team to provide a safe and effective warehouse operation Establish, maintain, and promote high standards of customer service to internal and external stakeholders Lead, coach and develop team members by setting clear expectations and goals on warehouse process' & best practice Allocation and distribution of warehouse tasks and responsibilities to the warehouse team Provide day-to-day direction to the team to ensure delivery against plan, ensuring service levels are in accordance with Operational needs and expectations Management of Warehouse SOX Compliance and Operational KPI's Management of cycle count program to ensure accurate inventory levels are maintained Routine management of Rotable and Repairable materials to ensure optimal critical stock availability Management of all inbound and outbound freight requirements (General, Emergency and Heavy Haulage) Timely management of warehouse workflow, ensuring timely payment of invoices in accordance with payment terms Performance management of direct reports to promote and maintain a highly effective team Management of roster and annual leave to ensure optimal coverage of warehouse The lifestyle:
This position is offered on a 7 days on and 7 days off roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah or Nebo), DIDO or FIFO lifestyle.
About you: 4 or more years of experience in a purchasing role within the resources or heavy industry sectors 5 to 10 years of warehouse, logistics experience within the resources or heavy industry sectors 2 to 3 years of supervisory experience within the resources or heavy industry sectors Mining Supervisor Certification (S1, S2, S3) Advanced computer skills Cert lV in Transport and Distribution (Warehousing and Storage) Forklift License About Peabody: Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing essential products for the production of affordable, reliable energy and steel.
