With our head office based in Cairns, and depots around North Queensland, Max Stocks employs more than 100 passionate and dedicated people.About the roleThis physically oriented role will see you lead a well-oiled team who set the warehouse up for success for the next day of operations. Your analytical approach and ability to see the bigger picture will help you identify the afternoons priorities and communicate and designate work to achieve these outcomes. You and your team will focus on picking and packing across our dry, chiller and freezer goods to ensure customers get the products they order, every time.This is a full-time role best suited to an individual with flexible availability to work across late nights 3:00pm - 11:30pm and weekends.Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership and coordination of afternoon team members, including recruitment, rostering, planning, and assigning work to ensure the most efficient use of personnel and equipment.Oversee the afternoon shift of the warehouse including all incoming and outgoing stock; from replenishing, picking, packing, third-party transports, and dispatch.Be safety focused with the physical agility to work safely, and lead others to work safely, in a physically demanding and high-risk work environment.Ensure seamless communication and interaction between the afternoon warehouse team and other key areas of the business including customer service, sales, deliveries, HR and payroll.Work as a cooperative team member and leader, demonstrating respect, contributing to and driving change, and striving for continuous improvement.Key Competencies, Skills and QualificationsAbility to create a vision, coach, motivate and inspire a team to stretch their capabilities, unlock potential and build commitment to achieving the visionDrive to coach and develop large teams to deliver great resultsAbility to lead change effectivelyCustomer focused with an appreciation for being the 'public face' of the companyUnderstanding of OHS and HACCP requirementsHighly motivated and flexible, with a solid work ethic and positive, can-do attitudePhysically fit and able to undertake the duties of the role, including lifting/manual handling and repetitive entering/exiting of a vehicleMax Stocks OffersA friendly workplace cultureA local, progressive, family-owned businessThe opportunity to lead within a growing businessEmployee benefits including discounts on our range of productsPlease submit your application (cover letter and resume) via the apply now link below.#J-18808-Ljbffr
