The role: We require a Store Person to assist the purchasing team with the day-to-day running of the store warehouse. This is a full-time role with the opportunity to work overtime during increased production hours.
Activities include, but are not limited to: Receiving & receipting of all stock into storeUpdating systems (M1) to reflect accurate stocklevels and budget control of stock, cost centresUse of the Kanban inventory control systemChecking off delivered stock against purchase orders and drawings & liaising with the purchasing departmentLoading and unloading containersEnsuring all parts are in the correct job pack and/or given to the correct workstations for that day/jobMaintenance of stock control and accurate stock levels and raising purchase orders for consumable items as requestedCleaning and general workshop maintenanceIssuing parts and consumables over the counter to production employees.To be successful in this role you will require: Prior experience working in a store dealing in parts or a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but is not requiredA working knowledge of engineering and production terminology would be advantageous but is not required; on-the-job training will be providedDemonstrable ability to understand computer systems and have the willingness to learn new systemsHave great attention to detail and work in an orderly fashionHold a current forklift and manual car licenseApplications: Only applications submitted through Seek and those with the right to work in Australia will be considered.
