Job Description Are you a hands-on, tech-savvy individual looking to grow in a dynamic role within a state-of-the-art testing facility?
TOMRA, a global leader in sorting and recycling technology, is seeking a dedicated Warehouse Specialist to join the team at our Mining Test Centre in Sydney.
In this role, you'll work closely with our Test Centre Engineers and play a key part in preparing samples and ensuring smooth operations within the test centre.
Key Responsibilities: Geological Sample Preparation for Testing: Responsible for crushing, screening, splitting, and accurately labeling samples, ensuring all materials are well-organized and properly documented.
Shipping and Receiving of Samples: Coordinate the dispatch and receipt of test samples.
This includes gathering quotes, creating shipping manifests in MS Office, scheduling pickups, and checking in samples upon arrival.
Sample Organization, Documentation, and Packaging: Efficiently manage, document, and package samples for testing.
Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to move large, heavy samples using various attachments, such as jib and drum attachments.
Facility Maintenance and Cleaning: Perform general maintenance and cleaning to keep the test centre in optimal condition, with some manual handling tasks as required.
Client Interaction: Welcome and assist visiting clients during specific witnessed testwork sessions.
Qualifications Versatile and Adaptable: Eager to work in a role with varied tasks that change daily, bringing flexibility and enthusiasm to each responsibility.
Forklift and Safety Training: Willing to obtain a High Risk Work license (forklift) and complete additional training if required, including Working at Heights or Working in Confined Spaces.
Safety and Compliance: Prepared to undergo drug and alcohol screening, police clearance, and pass a "Fit For Work" medical assessment tailored to the mining environment.
Physically Capable: Strong work ethic with the ability to perform manual labor, including handling and processing mineral samples and carrying heavy objects as needed.
Fluent in English: Proficient in both spoken and written English, ensuring clear communication and documentation.
Team-Oriented and Respectful: Committed to a team-centered approach, treating all colleagues and clients with respect and professionalism.
Relevant Experience: Previous experience in areas such as geotechnical work, warehousing, forklifting, and/or stock management is advantageous.
Educational Background: Completion of high school.
Driver's License: Holds a valid Australian driver's license.
