We source food from wholesalers, manufacturers, supermarkets and growers, saving more than 2.5 million kilograms of food from landfill each year.About the RoleFoodbank SA & NT is seeking a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Warehouse & Procurement Supervisor – Fresh Produce. This is an exciting opportunity to join a busy and friendly team of staff and volunteers, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference in people's lives.The Warehouse & Procurement Supervisor – Fresh Produce will oversee and supervise all functions of the Pooraka warehouse to ensure efficient running of operations and supports the procurement and distribution of Foodbank SA & NT's fresh produce. This hands-on role is also part of the Supply Chain team and will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to improve operations and customer service.In this role you will:Oversee and supervise all fresh produce warehouse operationsMaintain timely and accurate inventory and stock controlLead, support and develop a cohesive and effective team of employees and volunteersUndertake general warehouse dutiesProcess and ensure daily administration is completedWork alongside the General Manager – Fresh Produce to maintain existing and develop new relationships and partnerships with suppliers.About YouAs the successful applicant, you will have strong leadership, communication and organisational skills with excellent time management, and you will enjoy working closely within a diverse and friendly team.You will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in the Fresh Produce field (buying, retail or supplier) and have a strong understanding of seasonal variations of fresh produce supply.
