A thrilling opportunity has opened up for a permanent full-time Warehouse Officer to become part of our team in Cairns, Queensland.
Main Responsibilities:Ensure the warehouse operates efficiently from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Maintain cleanliness and compliance with Customs & Quarantine licensing requirements.Support inspections by Australian Border Force (ABF) and DAFF, ensuring goods are repacked, sealed, and discrepancies addressed.Assist with imports, exports, scheduling pickups/deliveries, and managing inventory.Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling, accurate records, and timely reporting of issues.Prepare and manage Customs and Logistics documentation, ensuring compliance and timely submissions.Liaise with clients, customs brokers, and government agencies to meet logistics requirements.Handle administrative tasks, including maintaining supplies, managing mail, responding to inquiries, and operating the Customs Integrated Cargo System responsibly.Be available for afterhours and weekend work (particularly Saturday mornings and occasional Sunday) to ensure task completion during peak season with paid overtime.Who You Are:You are efficient in fast-paced environments, multitask without compromising quality, and work well both independently and in teams.Highly organised with attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication skills.You thrive under pressure, meet deadlines effectively, and approach challenges as opportunities for growth.Safety, compliance, and wellness are paramount to you and your team's success.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or customs processes is highly desirable.Previous experience in the Shipping Industry is preferred but not essential.You must possess a valid Australian work permit, an Australian driving license, a forklift license, along with eligibility for a Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC).What We Offer:A competitive base salary, plus superannuation, and other benefits including but not limited to, laptop, and mobile.Flexible work arrangements to support your well-being and work-life balance.A collaborative, diverse, and supportive team environment fostering growth and development.Access to modern training programs, advanced systems, and tools to enhance your skills and efficiency.Health and wellness support, including an employee assistance program for you and your family.Established in Norway in 1861, Wilhelmsen is a global maritime leader providing essential products, services, qualified crews, and technical management across 60+ countries.
