The RoleJoint Proof & Experimental Unit (JPEU) is an integral part of Explosive Ordnance Branch within Joint Logistics Command, and is tasked to provide dynamic, static and environmental test and evaluation services to the Australian Defence Organisation. JPEU consists of two Ranges, Proof and Experimental Establishment (P&EE) Graytown VIC, and P&EE Port Wakefield SA as well as a Headquarters, which is spread across both sites.
The Logistics Team are a critical part of the support function within the Unit. The Team supports explosives ordnance test and evaluation activities across a wide array of logistics planning, assurance and governance outcomes. The Warehouse Manager manages the logistics support and governance to the Establishment including the management and accounting of assets. They are required to develop logistics and supporting plans that support test outcomes on behalf of the Officer Commanding.
About our TeamThe logistics Q Store teams provide support for operational activities at the Joint Proof & Experimental Unit (JPEU). The Q Store team functions are critical to the supply chain at JPEU. The team provides warehousing and distribution support, as well as providing governance of unit-owned equipment through mandated programs such as cyclic stocktaking and ROMAN asset counts.
We work with a variety of stakeholders to ensure they are supported in all their logistics requirements, including the procurement of equipment from commercial suppliers. Q Stores also works closely with other support sections to ensure we maintain calibrated equipment for use on the range. Q Store teams work on a number of IT systems such as the Military Integrated Logistic Information System (MILIS), SharePoint and Objective.
Employment at Port Wakefield attracts a Special Defence Locality Allowance of approximately $309.85 respectively per fortnight.

The successful candidate takes the initiative to achieve quality logistics outcomes; focusing on supporting critical test outcomes with a highly technical team.
They will be dynamic and keen to continuously improve systems and processes in an effort to ensure that lean methodologies are used by the team and organisation. The successful candidate will be proficient in the use of a wide range of tools to aid in carrying out their work such as Microsoft Office tools and other IT systems.
Security Clearance:Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at "Baseline Vetting" level.
