This year marks a new era in our history as we redefine our logistics and distribution capabilities in a brand-new state of the art facility, along with the need for an experienced and commercially orientated Warehouse & Logistics Manager.
About the opportunity You will be a highly skilled and proactive Manager and form part of our Leadership team. You will oversee day-to-day warehouse functions, and drive continuous improvement to meet operational demands. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering and supervising a high-performing team, and establishing and maintaining optimal warehouse practices, with safe work protocols as a priority.
Warehouse Operations: Work with and improve our warehouse management systemEnsure accurate picking, labelling, and dispatching of our products, efficiently and accurately. Receiving stock via shipping container and LCL and supervise and improve appropriate receiving and restocking procedures. Team Leadership: Develop, train, and manage the warehouse team. Take pride in fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment ensuring compliance with procedures, safety protocols and housekeeping.Inventory Control: Work with the Inventory Leader to maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counts and reporting.Oversee stock control and the proper handling of goods, including stock rotation and utmost care in stock protection.Safety and Compliance: Implement and monitor safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.Conduct regular housekeeping audits and ensure adherence to all safety guidelines and company standards.Skills and Competencies: Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
Comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehousing operations required to run a successful warehouse, and a willingness to work with the leadership team in continuous improvement.A solid awareness of, and commitment to, OHS.Experience in managing a 5000m2+ warehouse, interacting with multiple freight companies, container receiving and unloading and multi-level inventory storage. Forklift and picker licenses, with extensive experience with MHE including container docks, and other equipment.Well-developed warehouse procedures administration skills and knowledge of inventory management IT systems.Excellent communication, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. Ability to build strong internal and external relationships.
