Warehouse Assistant

Your purpose and opportunity: This is a junior role and a great opportunity for those wishing to start or boost their career in warehouse management and company operations. You will be working in a small operations team alongside with our Operations and Production Managers, taking ownership of functions that affect all areas of the business.
Reporting to the Production Manager, as a Warehouse Assistant, you have a good understanding of the dispatching and receiving of orders, packing of goods, creation of shipping and customs documents, purchasing of consumables and maintain the organisation and cleanness at the warehouse
No day is the same in Reach Robotics as our products consist of complex electro-mechanical assemblies. You will be working alongside highly specialised engineers and technicians. Supervised training will be provided for the first months of tenure following this you are encouraged to continue to learn and ask questions about our products.
Initial Responsibilities:
- Maintain overall organisation of the warehouse;
- Inspect equipment, tools, machinery regularly and oversee general maintenance as needed;
- Manage the receiving of goods that will be stored in the warehouse;
- Managing the picking & dispatch of goods;
- Prepare shipping documents for both domestic and international clients;
- Check sales orders making sure everything is included before dispatch;
- Packaging of goods and generation of packing list;
- Reconciliation of goods (storage, picking, packing);
- Use of Inventory Management software (Fishbowl);
- Ensuring inventory control, maintaining relevant documentation and reconciling discrepancies;
Essential Criteria: Applications without full working rights will be ignored;A good team player with a positive and proactive attitude;Highly organised, agile and possess great time management skills;Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in work product;Ability to meet and establish deadlines;Great communication skills across various departments;Experience in identifying and prioritising areas for improvement and take actions; Strong computer literacy skills.Desirable:
- Previous relevant experience is desirable but we are willing to teach the right person;
- Experience with Fishbowl software;
- Relevant qualification;
- Experience working with Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement principles is desirable but not essential;
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing facility similar operational environment.
