Warehouse Assistant

Crowies Paints is one of the most recognised and respected brands in the Australian paint industry. Crowies Paints was established in 1996 and operates a chain of 30+ paint specialist stores in South Australia, Victoria, Queensland and NSW, distributing the Wattyl paint brand among others. A vacancy has arisen for the role of Warehouse Assistant at our Cairns Store.
About the role We require a bright and ambitious candidate. This position will suit someone seeking a career in a stable and progressive family owned and operated business. The role is based in our Cairns Store and will require physical fitness for heavy lifting and moving stock.
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the operational running of the warehouse. The successful applicant will be flexible with working hours, self-motivated, willing to learn and want to join a happy, progressive and successful team.
Skills & Experience Paint Industry experience is not essential. Applicants that have also had Trade/Retail/Hardware industry experience or related building industry experience will be highly considered. Experience in warehouse inventory and stock control is preferred, but not essential. Ability to prioritise and work effectively to manage several projects at once. Must be able to work in a team environment. Driver's licence essential for deliveries. Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
