Reporting to the Warehouse & Operations Manager, your key areas of accountability include: Maintaining warehouse in neat and orderly mannerForklift operationsPicking, packing and dispatching customer ordersReceiving, checking and putting away incoming stock and raw materialsUnpacking of pallets / packing stock awayPeriodic stock or cycle countsGeneral-hand dutiesSampling of raw and packaging materialsOversee inventory management according to company guidelinesPerform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct number of items are in stockMaintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle countsReview documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and recordsDevelop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and improve operations costsRespond to sales inquiries and purchase orders; collect and analyse data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipmentReview operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillmentTrack rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisionsPrepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports, review reports monthly with managementAll other reasonable tasks, as directed by the businessQUALIFICATIONS Related industry and job role experienceEXPERIENCE Proficient with computers and office technology and the use of Microsoft packages, in particular excel and JDE planning software, MRP or ERP systemsWorking knowledge and ability to interpret the Australian code of GMP (desirable)Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work with all levels in the organizationTime management, problem solving skills, high attention to details and strong work ethicThey must present with excellent communication abilities in both written and verbal English as they will be working cross functionally and interfacing with groups across the business as well as external stakeholders. The candidate will also possess excellent organisational skills and high attention to detail. Most importantly, the ideal candidate must have a 'can do' attitude, be extremely reliable and punctual, present excellent problem-solving skills and must be able to work under pressure.
