We support them with innovative solutions that identify people, recognise their achievements, and help their diverse business grow In the role of Warehouse Assistant, you will ensure the smooth operation of The Signal Group warehouse facilities and accuracy of inventory management.
Key responsibilities will include but not limited to Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials and products.
Preparation and receipt of appropriate documentation.
Allocate and retrieve materials and products from the warehouse.
Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks and reconciliation.
Organise and maintain warehouse space for efficient storage and workflow.
Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, safely and efficiently.
Assist in the loading and unloading of delivery vehicles.
Assist the Finance Manager in meeting audit requirements in relation to stock control.
Propose and implement process and procedure improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
Follow Signal Group safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and the wider team.
YOUR BACKGROUND Previous experience in warehouse operations, preferably in a production environment.
Forklift licence and experience operating material handling equipment.
Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team.
Good communication skills, written and verbal.
Good computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
Sound understanding of workplace health and safety.
Ability to work in a physically demanding role.
Flexibility to work rostered hours ranging between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday to Friday.
