Jenner & Co is retained by a leading manufacturing organisation here in Sydney, to source their Warehouse and Logistics Manager.
Responsibilities
Plans and directs warehouse activities and establishes priorities in keeping with safe, effective and efficient operations and cost factors, while ensuring inventory accuracy and timeliness. Coordinates the activities of the warehouse in receiving, storing, pulling, staging, and shipping materials or products while applying knowledge of methods, equipment, and capability of workers. Ensures materials are received, identified, labeled, stored, pulled, staged, shipped, and transacted for proper tracking and location identification for inventory control. Works with management to establish productivity and quality standards. Sets goals for employees and motivates warehouse personnel to achieve their goals. Conducts periodic employee performance reviews including timely feedback and coaching. Promotes safety. Ensures employees are aware of and adhere to plan safety rules and regulations. Works with the team to develop a safety culture with zero incidents/accidents. Ensures employees know and understand customer and quality requirements and standards. Promotes quality. Sets the quality direction to meet/exceed customer requirements in a cost-effective manner. Ensures process corrective actions are addressed in a timely manner and are effective, including conducting audits of effectiveness. Provides leadership in identifying, developing, and implementing process improvements in the Warehouse. Compiles, distributes, evaluates, and actions warehouse metrics. With inventory control personnel, conducts cycle counts and physical inventory activities as required. Evaluates freight costs and the inventory costs associated with transit times to ensure that appropriate shipping methods are used. Responsible for the minimization of loss associated with mis-location, expiration, obsolescence, and shrinkage of inventory. Qualifications/Experience
Bachelor's Degree or relevant tertiary qualification (business, logistics, supply chain preferred) CPIM or proven track record of process improvements 5 - 7 years of supervisory experience minimum Expert in ERP systems, if you are a Syspro expert that will be very desirable Experience with Microsoft Office; high level Excel skills APICS Certification preferred Demonstrated time management and organizational skills Proven track record in Supply Chain management Proven experience in leading and developing a team Exceptional communication and presentation skills High attention to detail and ability to multi-task Go-getter attitude with leadership capabilities If this exciting opportunity is of interest to you, please click APPLY.
