Our new, state-of-the-art warehouse is located in Altona, supporting six galleries across Victoria. Responsibilities: Collaborate with the Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring smooth and efficient processes that meet company standards.Provide leadership and mentorship to the warehouse team, creating a positive and motivating work environment to drive optimal performance.Supervise a team of 30 warehouse staff, overseeing their workflow and ensuring the quality of work meets order fulfillment requirements while optimizing overall efficiency.Regularly review and analyze operations, implementing actionable strategies for enhancing productivity and minimizing losses.Oversee the upkeep and maintenance of warehouse equipment and tools, conducting routine inspections to ensure safety and functionality.Cultivate a strong team culture based on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, while promoting ongoing training and development.Manage inbound and outbound processes, including receiving, sorting, picking, packing, and shipping.Maintain robust inventory control systems through regular stocktakes and cycle counts, ensuring discrepancies are promptly resolved and high levels of accuracy are maintained.Conduct safety audits, training sessions, and drills to ensure compliance with safety protocols. Implement security measures to protect inventory, staff, and equipment.Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse operations, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process efficiencies.Integrate advanced technologies and innovative procedures to minimize manual workloads and streamline overall operations. Requirements: Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents preferred.Proven experience in a leadership role within a warehouse or logistics environment.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and drive team performance.Exceptional organizational and problem-solving capabilities, with acute attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced knowledge of its functions and applications.Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order picking, shipping, and receiving.Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and related software tools.Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage changing priorities with ease.
