The Smithton District Hospital is seeking a motivated Ward Clerk to join their team.
The Role:In accordance with established policies and procedures relating to the clinical, financial, and administrative requirements, the Ward Clerk provides:
High quality customer-focused reception services.Administration and clerical support across all areas of the relevant district hospital.This position is to provide weekend admin coverage for the hospital.Note: Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.
The Team:Smithton District Hospital (SDH) and Community Health Centre is a small sub-acute public hospital situated in Smithton, Tasmania, serving the entire Circular Head region with a catchment population of 8,000.
The hospital features 12 subacute beds dedicated to general medicine, post-acute care, palliative care, and end-of-life services.
Details of appointment:Permanent, part time, shift worker, working 32 hours per fortnight, commencing from December 2024.
Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
Salary:$64,125 to $68,925 pro rata, per annum.
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Union Wages Agreement 2022.You'll have access to a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
