The Opportunity Wandiyali is seeking an experienced and dedicated ITC Operations Manager to oversee and support our Intensive Therapeutic Care programs with a strong focus on Cultural integrity, child-centred approaches, and workforce development. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed therapeutic services for children and young people.
In this role, you will guide and coordinate a team of House Managers, ensuring they have the tools, support, and guidance needed to excel in their roles. You will be instrumental in managing programs, budgets, human resources, and stakeholder relationships, while fostering a culturally safe and responsive environment for young people and staff.
Key Responsibilities Support & Client Outcomes: Promote a child centred and Culturally sensitive approach to care, ensuring young people receive stable, ongoing support tailored to their individual needs. Program & Performance Coordination: Facilitate best practice service delivery by embedding systems and processes that enhance efficiency, maintain quality standards, and prioritise the voices of children and young people. Workforce Development: Mentor and support the youth work team to enhance therapeutic practices and professional growth. Coordinate training, reflective practice, and supervision to build staff skills and resilience. Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes staff wellbeing and continuous improvement. Cultural Integrity: Ensure all services honour and integrate Cultural values, traditions, and practices, creating safe spaces that foster identity, connection, and healing for young people. Financial Oversight: Manage services within budgetary constraints, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support client and program outcomes. Stakeholder & Team Engagement: Build strong, culturally respectful relationships with internal and external stakeholders while working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to achieve service excellence. Risk Management: Act as a key escalation point to address and prevent risks, ensuring decisions align with the best interests of the children, young people, and workforce. Participate in an after-hours/On Call support roster. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to organisations policies, statutory regulations, funding agreements, and accreditation standards. Systems Development: Coordinate the implementation of operational and administrative systems to support effective program management. An applicant's race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 Minimum Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Community Services, or a related discipline. Aboriginal or/and Torres Strait Islander, Culturally confident and able to demonstrate knowledge and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in community. Significant experience in overseeing multi-site, multidisciplinary programs and services for vulnerable populations. Demonstrated experience in Out-of-Home Care, preferably in ITC or other residential settings. Proven ability to manage services and programs within a budget. Expertise in child-centred, trauma-informed, and Culturally responsive care practices. Strong ability to support and develop a diverse workforce.
