Nursing - Aged Care (Healthcare & Medical)
Walara Incorporated was formed as a result of 3 aged care facilities merging in 2022/2023: Balaklava Millcourt Homes (BMH) Accredited until 2026, Hamley Bridge Aged Care (HBAC) Accredited until 2025, and Gilbert Valley Senior Citizens Homes (GVSCH) Accredited until 2027.
The three sites operate 124 residential aged care beds in total, and retirement living services in Balaklava and Gilbert Valley.

Senior Projects Officer is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer for managing the strategic, infrastructure and assets, their procurement consistent with budgetary, organisational and legislative requirements and in accordance with the organisation's mission and values.
This position plays an integral role between internal teams and external associations, suppliers, and networks.
The role will foster innovation and collaboration within all operations by contributing to the development and implementation of business improvement plans to ensure Walara achieves its Objectives.
The role will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and various internal and external stakeholders including regional leadership to ensure a whole of service approach across the region enabling the organisation to meet the needs of the community and that service agreements are met.
The Senior Projects Officer contributes to the development, monitoring, and achievement of Walara's broader strategic objectives.

Extensive understanding of the principles of quality, safety and risk management.
Experience in asset management and property development.
Demonstrated ability to meet agreed goals and timeframes in a rapidly changing environment.
Exceptional time management and forward planning skills.
High emotional intelligence with strategic thinking skills and principle-based decision making.
Understanding of legal/overseeing obligations and contemporary procurement practices.
Experience in leading technology functions.
Professional communication skills including business case development, board reporting and confident presentation skills.
Demonstrated commitment to continual professional and personal development.
Experience in the Microsoft suite of standards products.
Driver's License and ability/willingness to travel throughout regional South Australia.
Experience in leading transformational technology enabled business change/improvement programs.
Experience in major property development programs through partnerships and collaboration.
Experience in mergers and acquisitions.
