Be part of a team that's proud to work for the organisation that's secured some of the biggest wins for Australian wilderness and nature: stopping the damming of the Franklin River forty years ago, protecting Waldaman / James Price Point in the Kimberley from a ginormous gas hub, or defending special forests the length and breadth of this continent. ABOUT THE ROLEThe WA Campaign Manager is part of a highly dedicated and collaborative team focused on the long term protection, promotion and restoration of nature and wilderness.
The WA Campaign Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective operation of the Wilderness Society WA Campaign Centre and leads and mentors staff based in Boorloo / Perth to support and deliver the Wilderness Society's campaign agenda in WA.
The Wilderness Society has a solid track record of protecting some of WA's special land and sea country.
Now, we're seeking an experienced Campaign Manager who can identify powerful pathways for the community to exert pressure on governments and business to deliver change for land, water and seascape systems.
In doing this work, you'll bring a commitment to establishing and strengthening dialogue with First Nations Peoples for all aspects of our campaigns.
While supporting the ongoing development and implementation of the Organisational Campaign Plan, you'll have a key focus on protecting natural icons within WA, and work with colleagues across the country to deliver strategic interventions for other continental campaigns.
You excel at working with others across diverse communities and environmental groups.
You're a dab hand at applying, designing and communicating campaigns— through the media, with the community, and into government and business.
You're curious about the science—social, ecological, and political, and willing to investigate legal avenues to advance campaigns.
You enjoy leadership, strategy and campaign implementation.
You value strategic partnerships and stakeholder engagement, and excel at effective presentation.
You're happy to be part of a team that takes pride in collaboration and healthy culture.
And you can ensure work health and safety and compliance issues are covered.
