Retail | Full Time | Charters Towers, QLD We are currently searching for a full-time sales assistant to join our team. As a sales assistant you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, supporting the sales team, and contributing to achieving sales targets and overall business objectives. Our store trades 7 days a week so you must be available to work every third weekend on a rotating roster. This position will be based in Charters Towers, QLD.
Hours: Monday - Friday: 8:35am - 5:10pm Saturday: 8:40am - 2:10pm Sunday: 9:35am - 1:10pm (Every third weekend)
As a sales assistant you will be responsible for:
Assisting with inventory management Cash handling and processing payments and returns Sales support, up-selling or cross-selling products to customers Stocking, merchandising and maintaining the stores overall cleanliness and organisation Assisting in training new employees, and supporting other departments or team members as necessary Providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, assisting them in finding products, answering questions about merchandise, and handling any complaints or issues they may have. A willingness to learn A dedication to accuracy Previous employment in a retail setting Professional and maintains a positive reputation Any experience that involved working as part of a team Strong customer service experience is crucial for this role Experience using computer programs and software relevant to retail operations Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and inventory management software Experience in roles related to merchandising, inventory management, or visual display Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with staff, customers, and higher management About W.
