Vulnerability Management Specialist

About the role – 12 month contract:
Reporting into a Service Delivery Leader, the Vulnerability Remediation Specialist will reduce the possibility of security breaches due to vulnerability patching and assist with release and change activities.
Responsibilities include:

Maintain Service Excellence operating rhythm with Security team to receive vulnerability scan reports, receive penetration testing reports, assess remediation criticality and identify remediation needs including patching, upgrades, process changes, etc.
Group vulnerability fixes into patch changes and releases.
Work with Service Owners and Vendors to coordinate remediation of vulnerabilities.
Identify and implement process improvements for vulnerability assessment and patching.
Run regular patch deployment schedules with multiple vendors or various platforms.

What we're looking for:
To be successful in this role, you will have some experience in patching, security, and vulnerability remediation within a large complex organisation. You will be a critical thinker and can review reports to determine where the priority focus needs to be.

Infrastructure and application management or coordination experience.
A focus on continuous improvement and risk mitigation.
Strong stakeholder management skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to create reports, explain progress, and escalate issues.
