Practice Information:
Cardwell is a small rural seaside town with a population of 800 people.
During the winter months, the town swells with the influx of the Grey Nomads.
Situated halfway between Townsville and Cairns, Cardwell is the center of a vast natural wonderland – world heritage rainforests, waterfalls, swimming holes, wilderness tracks, crabbing, fishing, and prawning.
Cardwell is serviced by a Solo GP, supported by our 2 Local Ambulance Officers and Local Hospitals situated in Ingham and Tully.

• Vocationally Registered
• Full Australian working rights
• Mental Health Training
• Implanon Insertion and removal
• Skin Excisions and treatment
Salary/Pay Type:
150/hour worked or 70% of receipted Income whichever is greater, not negotiable.
Town Information:
Cardwell offers beautiful sites such as the Cardwell Lookout, Attie Creek Falls, Dead Horse Creek, and Murray Falls.
Adjacent to the mainland is Hinchinbrook Island, promoted as the largest island National Park in Australia.
The island is primarily for walkers and those who enjoy the quietness of virgin rainforest and pristine beaches.
The channel between the island and the mainland is notable for its extensive areas of mangroves and seagrass beds, which are home to dugongs, estuarine crocodiles, box jellyfish, and green turtles.
Off the coast, it is possible to sight humpback whales between May and September.
