Position Summary:
The VP of Strategy and Operations is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to drive growth, profitability, and operational excellence for the APAC region. They will possess exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership abilities, with a proven track record of successfully implementing business strategies and driving organisational transformation. Through a deep understanding of the APAC market, they will build strong relationships with key stakeholders and teams. Their strategic insights and tailored advice will enable informed decision-making that drives growth and efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to): Strategy Development and Planning: Lead the development of the company's strategic plan, working closely with the executive team and relevant stakeholders.Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor research, and industry trends assessment to identify growth opportunities and potential risks.Define and prioritise strategic objectives and initiatives, aligning them with the overall business goals.Strategic Implementation: Develop a comprehensive roadmap for executing the company's strategic initiatives, ensuring effective coordination and collaboration across departments.Monitor and track the progress of strategic projects, identifying any deviations or roadblocks and taking corrective actions as needed.Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth implementation of strategic initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and results-oriented approach.Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of implemented strategies.Regularly review and analyse performance data, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership for continuous improvement.Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and presentations on strategy implementation progress and outcomes to executive stakeholders.Change Management and Organisational Alignment: Drive organisational change initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.Collaborate with senior leaders to cascade the strategic vision and ensure alignment throughout the organisation.Act as a change agent, promoting and driving adoption of new processes, technologies, and best practices to support strategy execution.Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive management, board members, and industry partners.Collaborate with other departments, providing strategic guidance and support to facilitate cross-functional initiatives.Represent the organisation in external events, conferences, and industry forums to stay updated on emerging trends and build strategic alliances.Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies: Proven experience in a senior leadership role, overseeing strategy development and implementation within a complex organisation.Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate high-level vision into actionable plans.Excellent analytical and financial acumen, with experience in conducting market research, financial analysis, and business case development.Demonstrated track record of driving organisational change and managing large-scale projects.Exceptional leadership and influencing skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to diverse audiences.Strong business acumen and a deep understanding of industry dynamics.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Why join Pax8?
