About the Role At Volvo Group Australia you will contribute to the transformation of our company, the transport industry and society at large. You will:
As a Material Control Manager, you will lead and coordinate all material control activities at the Wacol site, ensuring efficient and effective material flows from local and global suppliers. You will manage a team, drive performance, and be accountable for budgeting and hiring. The role involves achieving KPIs in material availability, supplier delivery precision, air freight, and inventory turnover.
Key Responsibilities Achieve KPIs related to material availability and supplier delivery precision. Continuously review and optimize material control operations. Implement improvement plans in consultation with stakeholders. Oversee planning, prioritizing, and directing team responsibilities. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, ISO9000, Environmental Policy, and Workplace Health & Safety. Manage budget allocation, business performance, and asset management. Lead and develop a high-performing team, enhancing engagement and ensuring adequate resourcing. Promote a culture of safety, risk management, and compliance. Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in Business, Logistics, or Procurement Operations. Extensive experience in material control and procurement management. Strong knowledge of material management KPIs and MRP systems. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Proven experience in process improvement and strong focus on Health, Safety, and Environmental matters. Proficiency in MS Office and logistics management systems. What's in it for you?
