About the RoleWe are seeking a motivated and dedicated Volunteer Liaison Officer to play a vital role in enhancing volunteer services and driving strategic and operational objectives. You must be passionate about supporting volunteers, fostering positive relationships and able to contribute to the delivery and growth of volunteer services.
The Volunteer Liaison Officer, under the direction of the Office of the Commissioner, provides professional relationships with emergency services volunteers, Volunteer Associations, Volunteer Advisory Committees and external partners.
This includes facilitating consultations, assisting in issue resolution, and improving communications processes with volunteers, staff, and relevant parties.
The Volunteer Liaison Officer researches emerging trends and produces reports that include actionable recommendations for resolution or improvement. This role will also deliver volunteer-related projects, promote volunteer initiatives, and provide secretariat support to the five Volunteer Advisory Committees.
Employment Conditions and Additional InformationDFES is an emergency services organisation and all employees may be required to work or travel outside of normal business hours to assist with emergencies.
This position is based at Cockburn Central, with some intra-state travel required.
