Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver relevant and engaging learning experiences in SIT20316 Certificate II in Hospitality.
Develop and deliver a balanced program of instruction, demonstration, and work experience.
Lead the planning and execution of catering services at community events.
Maintain relationships with industry partners and VET providers.
Manage reporting, attendance, behavior, assessments, and track competency and work placement progress.
Deliver training in accordance with Standards for Registered Training Organisations.
Instruct on the safe use of equipment in educational and industry settings.
Liaise with schools, VET institutions, industry, and the public regarding job opportunities for students.
Oversee equipment maintenance and consumable stock control.
Maintain thorough and accurate training documentation.
Monitor student progress, initiate intervention strategies, and ensure program completion.
Must-Have Skills and Experience:
Qualifications and experience in hospitality and commercial cookery.
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or equivalent.
Experience in vocational education and training delivery.
Understanding of the VET Quality Framework and compliance requirements.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and maintain industry relationships.
Commitment to student development.
Nice-to-Have Skills and Experience:
Experience in community engagement and event catering.
Experience in a school or educational setting.
Familiarity with regional or remote location challenges.
Creative teaching approach.
