Our client is committed to hiring qualified and experienced instructors who are passionate about educating and mentoring future trade apprentices. With recent investments in their facilities, they are looking to expand their teaching team. We're seeking a Vocational Education and Training Instructor specializing in Electrical and/or Plumbing programs. Located in Melbourne's northern suburbs, this role involves planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality vocational education. Responsibilities This position will see you apply your qualifications and industry experience to a new career path, providing the opportunity to educate, develop, and pass on your knowledge to apprentices eager to join the industry. Your responsibilities will include:
Deliver courses in Electrical or Plumbing Certificates II, III & IV. Manage administrative tasks, coordination, and program delivery. Collaborate with colleagues on teaching and mentoring strategies. Maintain student records and support student progress. Assist with student selection and course inductions. Develop teaching resources and assessments. Engage in ongoing professional and curriculum development. Your Profile To be considered for this opportunity, you will meet the following prerequisites:
Victorian Electrical A Grade License & Certificate III in Electrotechnology (for Electrical role). Plumbing qualifications (for Plumbing role). Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110). Strong teaching, assessment, and student management skills. Full Australian Working Rights. Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
