Applecross Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to appoint a dedicated and professional Vocational Education and Training (VET) and Workplace Learning Support Officer to work closely alongside the VET Manager.
The successful applicant will ideally have previous experience and display an excellent knowledge of VET and Workplace Learning, providing administrative support to ensure the efficient operation of the school's VET and Workplace Learning programs. This includes the use of multiple school database systems (such as Reporting to Parents VET, Academy, Student Information Records System) and spreadsheets to effectively manage student enrolments, progress and completion of their Vocational programs. Keeping accurate records and ensuring they are routinely maintained is essential.
The role of the VET and Workplace Learning Support Officer also includes developing and maintaining program documentation, support material and procedures manuals, assisting in the training and induction of students into the Workplace Learning program, induction and training of workplace supervisors, and fostering networks to enhance outcomes for our school community. You will monitor student attendance and progress at the workplace, conduct site visits, and check student logbooks for satisfactory completion and working hours. The role also involves undertaking student-related activities, such as providing limited career information and advice, assisting the VET Manager with the promotion and participation of students in relevant external vocational programs.
The successful applicant will ideally have excellent interpersonal, organisational and communication skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with others in a team environment and work independently.
