About the Role An exciting opportunity has become available for a Verification of Competency & Apprentice Coordinator to join the Risk Assurance team at our Loy Yang A Power Station in Traralgon.
Reporting to the Training & Competency Manager, you will be responsible for the co-ordination, scheduling, record keeping and administration tasks supporting the VOC on site along with coordinating and scheduling training both on the job rotations and trade school, associated with our apprentice program.
You will have an amazing opportunity to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders across our Power Station & Mine as well as external contractors and communities.
Your key responsibilities will be: Coordinate the scheduling of on-site Apprentice learning and development programs, ensuring that training programs and providers (including RTO's) are appropriate. Assist in reviewing training materials to ensure compliance to National Standards where required. Engaging with training providers and tracking apprentice progress. Promote the AGL Loy Yang Apprentice and LLEN programs with local schools & communities. Liaising with the relevant stakeholders to program VOC assessments. Maintain and oversee the accurate recording and maintenance of all training data in the Learning Management System. Consultation with, and the organisation of external stakeholders, including contractors, suppliers, and consultants. About You To be successful, you'll have:
Demonstrated experience in an Apprentice Coordinator or similar Training and Assessment role. Experience and understanding in developing training materials & assessments. The ability to negotiate, influence and communicate across all levels in the organisation. A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, & environment, with the ability to promote and model safe behaviours across the wider business. A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or other certified higher-level training qualification is essential. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications and a working knowledge of SAP & LMS systems is desirable. Relevant trade qualifications & tickets would be desirable.
