Job Description We have a great opportunity for an Environment Lead who will work with our Supply Chain and Retail businesses to deliver soil and groundwater (S&GW) risk management programs. The project portfolio includes complex environmental and remediation projects at key Supply Chain and Retail sites. You will also ensure regulatory compliance is adhered to.
Responsibilities & Requirements Drive Goal Zero on all environmental projects within area of responsibility by influencing operational personnel and contractors. Work with 3rd party consultants to develop risk management strategies for reducing soil and groundwater liabilities. Develop and manage relationships with regulators, internal and external stakeholders to ensure cost-effective remediation strategies. Remediation of sites for divestment. Management of third-party environmental services consultants and manage their delivery and performance within approved budgets on specific projects. Work with Operations and Engineering teams to ensure early engagement with the Environment team to ensure smooth regulatory planning processes. Identify regional key soil and groundwater issues, business priorities, and projects. Ensure regulatory compliance for sites with license commitments. Qualifications Minimum 5-7 years of experience. Environmental/Engineering/Science/Technical degree, preferably in environmental management or science. Knowledge of S&G risk management. Knowledge of regulatory and legislative processes. Ability to quickly build relationships, credibility, and trust with external and internal stakeholders. Excellent written/oral communication skills. Ability to effectively influence stakeholders. Ability to work both independently, as well as in cross-functional and cross-organizational teams. Ability to deliver results through others.
