Reuters Pictures is looking for a dynamic and talented Visuals Journalist to report from Australia and be based in Sydney. We are looking for a team player and a self-starter with plenty of initiative to generate story ideas and inject a creative approach to storytelling. The successful candidate should have a good understanding of the news agenda in Australia - from politics and sports to entertainment, culture, lifestyle, and business news.

The pictures and video news industry is going through a period of significant transformation, driven by the rapidly shifting habits of news consumers and ever-changing technology. The successful candidate should have extensive experience in photography and at least a basic knowledge of shooting video, as well as a desire and capacity to learn more.

We want someone who has excellent communication skills, an unflappable temperament, and a passion for visual journalism. The candidate must be able to work closely with visuals colleagues and reporters.
