Visual Designer, Montane Store, Australia

The Montane Store is seeking a Visual Designer with a passion for defining the world-wide evolution of shopping transaction processes across web-based platforms. The ideal candidate is a brilliant problem solver, quick study, self starter, and excellent communicator with a passion for great design and the ability to achieve it. The candidate should have a keen visual eye and be able to represent the Montane aesthetic and brand within product teams.
This is an offsite position and we can consider candidates from cities across Australia – you do not need to live in the city this is posted in to be considered.
Key Qualifications3+ years of experience creating world-class user interface design, including experience with online appsAbility to do rapid prototyping in HTML/CSS, AfterEffects, and other prototyping toolsFluid in Photoshop, Illustrator, and other design toolsExpert knowledge of user-centered design principlesStrong portfolio demonstrating concepts and execution for both apps and webMust excel under pressure and with changing deadlinesDescriptionFrom brainstorming through implementation, the Visual Designer will work with members of the MLS design team, as well as online business, publishing, marketing, and QA groups.The candidate has the ability to quickly grasp and distil highly complex matters in clean, understandable solutions.He or she has strong communication and organisational skills who is willing to prove him/herself with a company of talented individuals.Collaborate with other designers and information architects to come up with creative ways to deliver the message.EducationA Bachelors Degree in Visual Design, Graphic Arts, or equivalent is preferred.
Additional RequirementsA passion for design and Montane products is mandatory.
