ROLE SUMMARY:Reddam House Sydney is seeking an outstanding Visual/Media Arts Teacher to start in the 2025 academic year. This role will be offered as a 12 month parental leave contract. As one of the members of our co-educational, non-denominational, independent school network, Reddam House Sydney continues the tradition of inspiring students to reach their full potential in a nurturing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Teach Visual and Media Arts to Primary students in an innovative and collaborative environment.Unlock students' true potential, preparing them for unlimited success.Provide high-quality education, development, and care.Engage effectively with students, parents, guardians, and colleagues, aligning with Reddam House's educational philosophy.Co-ordinate the After School Art program.Coordinate all art competitions and points.Teaching Visual Arts to Kindergarten and Year 1 as well as Media Arts to Years 3-6.THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:SKILLS & EXPERIENCE A teaching degree with a minimum of four years of post-qualification experience, specialising in Visual and Media Arts or a closely related subject.Experience with the NESA syllabus content.A valid Working with Children check and a commitment to child welfare.Confidence in using ICT in teaching.High expectations and aspirations for all students.A commitment to the overall development of young people.An open-minded approach and willingness to learn and develop.A demonstrable passion for teaching and a proven track record.The right to work in Australia.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES Possesses calm, warm, and professional demeanour.
