The Opportunity As our Visitor Information Officer, you'll be responsible for the coordination of memberships and to deliver a high level of support to tourism operators.
You'll be the first point of contact for all enquiries to the Visitor Information Centres (VIC).
You'll take on: Assisting the VIC Supervisor with daily operations Delivering a high level of customer service and lead by example Assisting with maintenance and improvement of accommodation and tour booking services Staying up to date with tourism in the area by living and breathing East Gippsland and all the amazing things it has to offer! Previous experience in customer service, preferably in the tourism industry.
Ability to undertake a variety of tasks concurrently with minimal supervision.
Highly developed communication and administrative skills including computer literacy in Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel and a range of online tools to communicate with audiences.
Well-developed interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate clearly and develop sound relationships with stakeholders.
Sound knowledge of the East Gippsland region and tourism opportunities and activities.
Demonstrated excellent organisational skills with strong emphasis on time management.
Ability to contribute to, and work within a team environment.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check.
