Visiting Medical Officer in General Practice - HNELHD Peel Sector MPS sites - Barraba, Manilla and QuirindiHunter New England Local Health District – Tamworth NSW
The Management of the Peel Sector, HNELHD is seeking applications from General Practitioners to provide Visiting Medical Officer services to the Multi Purpose Service sites of Manilla, Quirindi and Barraba.
Quirindi is a community hospital with a 24 hour emergency department and capacity for up to 20 inpatients. Quirindi, known as the 'nest in the hills', is located in the picturesque Liverpool Plains, less than an hours' drive to Tamworth and not too far from Newcastle.
Manilla is the largest Multi-Purpose Health Service (MPS) in New South Wales. Manilla also provides a 24 hour emergency department and a range of acute and aged care beds.
Barraba is a multi-purpose health service with 16 residential aged care beds and 6 acute beds. An emergency department is available 24 hours per day.
All towns are located within an accessible distance of the city of Tamworth and the Tamworth airport. Both facilities also offer HealthOnes which provide general practitioner services to the local community.
Minimum RequirementsA primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in General Practice.Evidence of being a scholar, maintaining medical professional development and assisting other staff, including trainees in the acquisition and development of knowledge.Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, students, other health professionals and the public.Evidence of being a collaborator, including the ability to network and operate within an interdisciplinary framework and to work with other stakeholders in a variety of settings.Evidence of being a manager, including ability to be flexible and cope with a changing health system, past leadership and management experience and previous safety and quality improvement activities.Evidence of being a professional, including continued professional development, peer review and other forms of clinical governance.Evidence of being an advocate, including contributions to improving individual and societal health. #J-18808-Ljbffr
