The primary purpose of the role is to provide high-quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Anaesthesia, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the Anaesthetics Department and Hospital as required.The Visiting Medical Officer will be part of a relief pool of Visiting Medical Officers in the Anaesthetics Department, providing specialist care to patients at Concord Hospital. They will be part of a cohesive anaesthetic team who provide specialist anaesthetic services to a broad range of specialties. This will involve collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure clinical services provided are safe and achieve optimal patient outcomes.The Visiting Medical Officer will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research, and professional development.The successful applicant will be registered, or eligible for registration, with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) with recognised qualifications in Anaesthetics and/or other equivalent specialist recognition.Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Public Hospitals Visiting Medical Officer Determination.Applications are accepted via eCredential ONLY.
