We work with leading Australian and international private and publicly listed companies and government entities across various sectors including infrastructure, energy (renewables), resources, transport, defence and building and construction.We offer highly interesting and challenging work, excellent mentorship from industry leading professionals, legal and commercial development across multiple sectors, flexible working arrangements and competitive salaries.Become an essential part of something greater, where you can participate in high-profile projects and take pride in contributing to Australia's most impactful and transformative initiatives.About the OpportunityWe are currently seeking to appoint Associates to join our Sydney team and support new and existing clients across the markets that we represent.Reporting to the Legal and Commercial Director, this role is accountable for:Providing strategic commercial and legal advice on major infrastructure projects across a number of sectors including infrastructure, energy, resources, transport, defence and building and construction;Reviewing, drafting and negotiating contracts (including upstream, downstream and consortium arrangements);Managing a high volume of work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities, consistently delivering high-quality, strategic, and responsive legal advice and services promptly and efficiently;Building and maintaining relationships with key clients to achieve successful outcomes;Project delivery support, including preparing key contractual notices, assessing and managing key project risks and drafting template agreements;Supporting the management of project claims and disputes, including preparing advices, responding to claims and notices, negotiating settlements and assisting with dispute resolution.About YouAdmitted to practice as a lawyer in Australia with a minimum of 3+ years' experience in either private practice or in-house infrastructure legal team.Experience in front-end and/or back-end matters (a mixture of both would be highly advantageous).Drafting expertise in construction contracts, contract claims, contract notices, legal advice and briefs.Experience with commercial policies and identifying key risks within contracts.Experience across a range of high value projects and contract models.Commercial mindset and a drive to deliver on high standards.Proven ability to work with minimal supervision, prioritise and work well under pressure and in unpredictable environments.A positive and proactive attitude to consistently ensure the completion of the daily workload.What We OfferA fast-paced, dynamic and supportive team environment, which facilitates innovative thinking and challenges highly intelligent and motivated people.A workplace that pushes your legal and commercial skills into high gear as you work on some of Australia's most interesting and meaningful projects.A rare opportunity to work with major ASX listed companies, top tier contractors and cutting-edge international businesses.The ability to build your professional career in a multi-disciplined business environment.A workplace with a strong dedication to corporate social responsibility and the environment.Monthly internal learning development sessions.Flexible working arrangements.Join us and experience the difference exceptional mentorship can make.
