We have an exciting opportunity for a commercially astute yet customer-focused Practice Manager to lead the team at our Hurstville consulting clinic. Vision Eye Institute Hurstville is located in a purpose-built facility, specifically designed for ophthalmic consultations, diagnostic testing, and outpatient procedures. Our modern, spacious clinic features nine consulting rooms as well as specialist treatment rooms for assessment and minor procedures. The practice is co-located with Forest Road Day Surgery.
The opportunity We are currently seeking a new Practice Manager to lead our Hurstville consulting team. The primary function of this role is to oversee and be accountable for the day-to-day management of the consulting clinic as well as provide oversight and leadership guidance to the consulting and day surgery Administrative and consulting Clinical teams. The role will deliver optimal business outcomes, drive accountability across the team, and ensure the Practice is compliant with the organisation's Quality Management System and regulatory/legal requirements.
The successful candidate will be a strong people leader, with a commercial and growth mindset, who will ensure best-in-class service is provided to our patients and visitors and exceptional service is delivered to our Doctors, referring practitioners, and other key stakeholders.
Reporting to the General Manager Operations - NSW, the role is supported by a suite of centralised corporate support functions including Marketing, Finance, Quality & Risk, and People & Culture.
A bit about you You will have demonstrated commercial acumen within a health/medical services environment as well as the capability and experience in leading a multi-disciplinary team.
You'll have excellent communication skills and will have previously demonstrated the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders, including new and existing doctors who operate at the site.
You'll be familiar with Quality, Safety, and Risk management and be skilled in developing and nurturing key relationships, including with doctors, referrers, corporate partners, and with the broader team at Vision Eye Institute/Vision Hospital Group.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Practice Manager or senior supervisory role within a medical, hospital, or health environment. Previous experience working in and/or managing Consulting Clinics or Hospital Administration will be highly regarded.
